Our dear friend winter is about to say ‘goodbye’
Leaving Februarys love painted in the pink valentine skies.
Powder blue clouds float aimlessly by.
The silvery moon blends with the purples and whites.
Winter leaves a softness, gentle hues in natures owns
Purple crocus, white camellias, Misty grey winter storms.
I feel the earth take a deep breath,
But nothings is really quite awake yet.
Though soon, in March, all creation will start
Bursting up from their sleepy beds, a thrill that always warms my heart.
Now in the quiet lavender morning
The sun twinkles softly on the flowers there, yawning.
The air is still cold, the ground is mostly frozen
So I wait, impatiently, for life to come back in the garden.
